Multi-award winning keyboardist Rick Melick has been performing at the highest level for decades.

Seven years and in excess of 1,200 gigs with US Blues Rock phenomenon Joe Bonamassa gave him the thrill of seven US and European #1 CD’s and two #1 DVD’s including several Gold and Platinum Awards for “Live At The Royal Albert Hall” and “Live From The Beacon Theater.”

It also gave him the opportunity to work with the world’s best. He has filmed and/or recorded with Eric Clapton, John Denver, B.B.King, John Hiatt, Paul Rogers and Beth Hart. He has played live with Larry Carlton, Kenny Loggins, Ian Anderson, Steve Lukather, Ricky Medlocke (Lynard Skynard), Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake), the late blues greats Hubert Sumlin and Bobby Parker, Brad Whitford (Aerosmith) and Jeff ‘Skunk’ Baxter, (Steely Dan & Doobie Bros.)

In a career that spans 4 decades, iconic Australian acts such as the late Andy Gibb, Glenn Shorrock, Dragon, Jon Stevens, Stevie Wright, Brian Cadd, Doug Parkinson and Jimmy Little have all used Rick’s services on keyboards.

He has played many major world festivals, from The North Sea Jazz and Montreaux Jazz, Nice Jazz to W.O.M.A.D. and The East Coast Blues and Roots, in addition to the world’s great and historic theatres and arena stages.

He has been out front leading The Self Made Men playing originals and some well chosen blues covers since 2014.
